extend their sympathies and prayers to the families of all who have lost love ones in the September 11, 2001 tragedy. 


1Lt. Gerard Baptiste, Co. A, 1st Battalion 69th Infantry (Mechanized)
is among the 300+ New York City firemen reported missing in the WTC.
Lt. Baptiste was a member of Manhattan's Ladder Company 9.

The 69th was activated to assist in the World Trade Center disaster.
Their Armory was used as the principal information center for people looking for loved ones.

Vic Olney,  serving as a volunteer a the Lexington Ave. Armory, has written bulletins concerning the activities at the armory and the heroic effort the men of the active battalion.
