Regiment Distinctive Unit Crest". Made exclusively in the
U.S.A. for Tara Hall, Inc. The 88th NYSV was the the 2nd Regiment of
Meagher's Irish Brigade. They were decommissioned in June, 1965
following their gallant service in the Civil War. However, elements of
the all-volunteer New York Guard have resurrected the Unit designation
in honor of this gallant Regiment and have created a most worthy crest
which has been approved by the US Army Department of Heraldry. |
